Lake Powell

We just returned from a week long vacation on a houseboat at Lake Powell with the Forsberg clan. It was a lot of fun. Carter loved being in the sand and water all day long. He especially loved Sea Doo and boat rides. And yes, he is wearing Little Mermaid Swimmers in one of the pictures. Sean didn't look at the package of swimmers when he bought them until I pulled them out at the lake. Poor kid had to wear them all week! Good thing he isn't old enough to know the difference yet. A highlight of the trip was when Sean caught his first fish ever!

First Boat Trip

We went to the lake on Grandad's boat this weekend. Carter was a little unsure of his life jacket at first but he got used to it. He loved going over the waves and going fast.

Fireworks Show

Fourth of July

Carter loved the fireworks! He was fascinated with them when they first started. He kept reaching his arms up to try and grab them.

Our Beach Boy

Here are some pictures from a swimming party we had with some friends at my Mom and Dad's house this weekend. Sean bought Carter the wetsuit he is wearing. We all thought he looked like a little beach boy ready to surf! He loved going down the slide!

My buddy...

This is Carter's favorite chair to sit in and his favorite horse "Tommy" that he sleeps with. One night we were getting ready for bed and I said, "let's get ready for bed Carter." He grabbed the horse and started walking to his room. He has been taking "Tommy" to bed with him ever since. Every night before bed he sits in his chair and drinks his milk while we read stories. Ahhh...the life of a 1 year old!

Happy Father's Day

I made this video for Sean for Father's Day. He is such a great Dad! Carter loves to be around him and has to be involved in any project Sean is working on. I am very lucky to have a husband who is such a great Dad! (just ignore the sideways picture...I'm still learning!)

Funny Face

Carter makes the funniest face when he is trying to blow on you! We finally got it on camera.

Ladies Man or Bug Man?

It's a little hard to read but Carter's shirt says, "Ladies Man." This picture is taken on the front porch of our family cabin. Carter loves to play outside at the cabin. I don't think he liked it as much this weekend when we were there. He was sitting in a chair eating a popsicle, when he started fussing a little and rubbing his ear (he rubs his ear when he gets tired so I didn't think too much of it at first). As I got closer to him I saw little black bugs on his head and flying around him. After getting them all off---I counted 24 bug bites on his head. Poor guy--we had to cover his whole head in calomine lotion that night!

Fearless Carter

We went to Russ and Katie's for Memorial Day and went swimming in their pool. Carter loved it. He hadn't noticed the diving board until one of his cousing jumped off of it. Carter went right over to it and walked to the end of the diving board. He sat down on the end and jumped in! The kid has no fear!

Future Firemen

We went out to dinner last weekend with friends and while we were waiting for our table to be ready a firetruck pulled up. Of course Carter and Kaden wanted to see the truck. So their dads took them over to see it. I think we may have some Future Firemen on our hands!

I'm a Big Kid Now...

We turned around and there he was sitting at the table drinking his milk! It was so funny. Nothing is safe anymore...

Working Out

Carter loves to "help" me work out on the Bowflex. We have big mirrors in our workout room-so Carter likes to sit with me while I am working out and watch it all in the mirrors. Sometimes he'll do his own workout by carrying around the 5 pound weights!

Maybe if I shut the door, no one will notice...

Carter's latest trick is opening up the pantry door and taking everything out!

Dust Storm

Sean took these pictures yesterday while driving home. This storm came out of nowhere!

Carter Sauce

When Carter was a couple of months old a little boy came up to me and asked what his name was. I told him and the boy said, "Tartar, like Tartar sauce, that's funny." I said no it's Carter. The boy then said, "oh Carter Sauce" and started laughing. We have been calling him Carter Sauce ever since.

Let it snow...

We went to our family cabin this weekend and it actually snowed while we were there. Carter didn't quite know what to do at first--it was his first time seeing snow. But after we started throwing it he had a blast!
