To run, or not to run
When I did this triathlon in November 2009 I was 6 weeks pregnant. This run was seriously killing me. My SIL Marlee (in the black and yellow) ran with me the whole time and really pushed me to run faster. We had a goal of passing that guy right behind me, I didn't think I could do it, but I finally did. Katie (in the white and blue) joined up with us at the end and helped me finish. I could really feel the effects of being pregnant. I was cramping and extra tired during the triathlon. I had already signed up for a relay race in February. But after this triathlon, I dropped out. 3 weeks later I had a miscarriage. So I was now back in the relay race and really started training hard for it. One month later I found out I was pregnant again. I was placed on "moderate activity" by the doctor. No running. So I had to drop out of the race, again. I am happy to report that I did not have to rejoin the race again. Baby Rose (according to Carter!) will be here in September.

My heart broke a little reading the first part but I'm so happy to hear the great news about baby (Rose). I hope you're feeling well!
Congrats Jess and co! Carter's going to be a big brother! I despise running when I'm pregnant - but I highly recommend Pilates During Pregnancy w/ Nicec Pecenka. It's hard from day one and stays that way all the way through.
Yea, we are having babies a month a apart! Cool love the idea of similar aged cousins.
Jessica! Congratulations - so excited for you!
Ah! thats great! Like the same time as us eh?
congratulations! i'm so excited for you
Jessica, I am so happy for you. It's so hard going through all the ups and downs when you are growing your little family....but it is so worth it. We are praying for you sweetie!
Love, Becky
You must be talking about the Ragnar. Sorry to hear about losing the baby...so glad you are doing well now and another on the way. How exciting.
Wow! How exciting! So sorry to hear about the miscarriage, but congratulations on this pregnancy! We are so happy for you!!
YEAH!! I am so excited for you guys! I am been waiting for the post!
JESSICA! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! So when we were talking about your miscarriage before, you already knew you were pregnant again??? Ahhhh, I'm so happy for you. SO HAPPY. I cannot wait to see your sweet new baby. Woohoo!!!
I know Carter approves of the name but does your mom???
congratulations! so excited for you guys!
i am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. those are difficult to go through.
i hope you have a great pregnancy and the summer heat doesn't kill ya. :)
Congratulations! That is awesome! I love that Carter named her, what will he do if it's a boy? Keep me updated! Miss ya!
Congrats! That is so exciting...especially after hearing about the miscarriage :( You know, Everett started calling Ava 'baby Ava' when I was only 6 weeks pregnant with her! We didn't even know it was a girl, so I think siblings definitely know these things...I hope you like the name Rose! We couldn't have changed Ava's name even if we wanted too!
congrats again!
I'm so happy to hear you are doing better. My mom told me what happened and I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm happy that you are expecting! Do you hope it's a girl?
So Happy for you! I hope you have a great one.
CONGRATS ON the pregnancy!! I am so excited for you guys ;) that is going to be so fun for Carter...keep us up to date and are you going to find out what you are having?? Good luck!
wow...lots of ups and downs for you! love the baby bump pic...i still remember the day Elizabeth ran into my room to announce that she was having a baby sister. She was in kindergarten and I was just barely pregnant with Megan...only Brandon and I knew...so Carter already has his connection going and now you don't have to wait for the ultrasound...just have faith! Rose could always be the middle name:)
